As Delve Underground’s Sydney office commemorates its 10th anniversary, we reflect on past achievements and look forward to what lies ahead. A decade ago, the company expanded its footprint in Australia, opening the Sydney office, which marked a strategic move to better support clients in New South Wales. Since its inception in 2014, the Sydney office has evolved into a hub of innovation and collaboration, growing to a staff of 30 team members.

While the permanent Sydney office opened in 2014, Delve Underground has actually been working in Australia since 1956. A timeline of our Australian projects illustrates our innovation and commitment to local clients.

Today, the Sydney office is the center for the Delve Underground’s effort on the Sydney Metro ETP project, which was awarded to the John Holland CPB Contractors Ghella Joint Venture (JCG) in 2023. This 3.5 kilometers (2.2 mi) of metro rail tunnels between The Bays and Hunter Street in the Sydney CBD is the third and final major tunneling package on this mega-project and is the last piece of the puzzle to complete the 24-kilometer (15 mi) metro rail tunnels from Westmead to the Sydney CBD. Delve Underground is providing tunnel design and construction phase services for the project.
