Stephanie Robillard has 15 years of experience in underground design and construction engineering, with a focus on geotechnical engineering. Her experience includes urban water conveyance, hydropower, gas pipeline, and rail/subway tunnels. Her design work also includes tunnel portals and cut-and-cover excavations. She specializes in geological interpretation, ground characterization, geotechnical instrumentation programs, numerical modeling of underground structures, and design of ground support. Stephanie has planned and supervised geotechnical and hydrogeological field investigations and is experienced in facilitating coordination between design team members and owners. She also has expertise in 3D laser scanning for tunnels. Stephanie has been involved in several Vancouver tunnel projects, including serving as the Engineer of Record Representative during the construction of Metro Vancouver’s Port Mann Tunnel, which crosses the Fraser River. Stephanie is the former Regional Director for British Columbia for the Tunnel Association of Canada.
