Seth Pollak

Principal Engineer

Seth has over 20 years of experience in drill-and-blast, TBM, and soft-ground (SEM) tunnel design and construction. He is both a registered Professional Engineer and Professional Geologist in the United States. Seth has extensive design and site experience with underground construction across a variety of ground conditions. He brings specialized expertise in the analytical and numerical design of deep mined shafts and tunnels in both hard rock and soft ground, with experience on projects extending to depths of up to 1,500 m, including work in seismically active regions. Seth’s experience in geo‑structural engineering has given him a strong understanding of ground behavior, the interaction between geological conditions and support systems, and the design of tunnel and shaft linings, including deep mining shafts exceeding 1,000 m.
