Michael Behrens

Structural Engineering Practice Lead - AUNZ

Michael Behrens has 33 years of international experience in the design, management, and investigation of major civil engineering projects, specializing in structural and mechanical engineering with a particular forte in tunnel design. His expertise in tunneling is full spectrum, from temporary works to varying types of shafts and diaphragm walls. Through this extensive technical design expertise, Michael has developed the keen insights required to provide expert consultation on remedial engineering and investigations. He is also an expert in the structural design of concrete, steel, and masonry structures; and hydraulic and water retaining structures, and has a comprehensive knowledge of Australian and international building standards for industrial and commercial buildings.

Michael holds a BEng in Civil Engineering from the University of Wollongong.
