Marco Moccichino

Canada Regional Manager

Marco Moccichino is a Principal Engineer with more than 24 years of experience in the design and construction of tunnels and underground structures. He joined Delve Underground in 2016 and serves as the firm’s Canada Regional Manager.

Marco’s experience spans transit, conveyance, natural gas, and roadway projects, with involvement across all project phases and traditional or alternative procurement models. Marco has served as project and design manager on both detailed design (as a consulting engineer) and construction projects (as a contractor), which gives him the unique ability to understand the challenges and perspectives of all the parties involved in projects (owners and stakeholders, designers and contractors).

Marco has developed a solid reputation for successful project delivery with clients in the Metro Vancouver area and brings experience from a wide range of international projects. He has focused primarily on the features and structures involved in mechanized excavation including TBM, launching and retrieving shafts and portals, mined cross passages, site layout, and overall tunneling requirements. He holds a degree in Structural Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Milan and is a registered Professional Engineer in British Columbia.
