Trenchless Engineering Practice Lead

Luke Erickson has more than 18 years of geotechnical, civil, structural, and construction engineering experience, with a focus on trenchless projects in the water, wastewater, and energy markets. Luke brings a wealth of trenchless experience in a wide range of methods, including conventional tunneling, microtunneling, pipe jacking, pipe ramming, auger boring, pilot tube, and horizontal directional drilling (HDD). His professional experience includes geologic site characterizations, trenchless feasibility and alternatives evaluations, trenchless alignment evaluation and selection, risk assessments, HDD pipe stress evaluations and frac-out assessments, pipe jacking force evaluations and jacking pipe design, shaft and excavation support systems, civil layout and design, tunnel support/​lining design for hard and soft ground tunnels, pipeline design, tunnel inspection and rehabilitation, and trenchless design. Luke currently serves on the North American Society for Trenchless Technologies (NASTT) Midwest Chapter Board of Directors.

Luke holds an MS in Civil Engineering from Northwestern University and a BS in Civil Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines. He is a registered Professional Engineer in Oregon, California, Ohio, and Washington.
