John Murray

East Regional Manager

John Murray is a principal engineer with more than 25 years of engineering experience in the transportation, water, and wastewater markets. His experience has been focused on project management and leading design efforts for large tunnel projects. John joined the company in 2003 and has successfully delivered several of the firm’s design-build and progressive design-build projects. In addition to his company leadership role in regional management, John also serves on the firm’s board of directors. His technical expertise includes evaluation of tunnel alignments and alternatives; initial ground support design; drill-and-blast excavation; instrumentation and monitoring design and implementation; rehabilitation program design; production of contract drawings and specifications; and review of contractor submittals, RFIs, and claims.

John holds an MS in Geotechnical Engineering and a BS in Civil Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology and completed the Colorado School of Mines Short Course on Microtunneling. He is a registered Professional Engineer in Georgia and New York.
