Joe Schrank

Tunnel Rehabilitation and Inspection Practice Lead

Joe Schrank is a principal engineer with more than 24 years of experience in geotechnical and tunnel engineering. With a background in geological engineering and rock mechanics, Joe has focused on the feasibility evaluation, design, and construction management of tunnels and tunnel rehabilitation. Since joining Delve Underground in 2007, Joe has served as a design and technical lead, technical reviewer, and project manager on some of the firm’s most significant tunnel rehabilitation projects. His project work has also included geotechnical investigations, feasibility evaluations, and design for trenchless installations. His resident engineering and construction monitoring experience includes new tunnel construction, the rehabilitation and clearance improvement of existing tunnels, hand mined and microtunnel installations, and other trenchless systems.

Joe holds an MEng in Mining Engineering (Rock Mechanics and Geotechnics) and a BASc in Geological Engineering from the University of British Columbia. He is a registered Professional Engineer in Tennessee, Georgia, District of Columbia, Virginia, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Maryland, New York, North Carolina, New Jersey, Colorado, Montana, Oregon, Washington, and British Columbia.
