Gregg Davidson

Chief Operations Officer

Gregg Davidson is a principal engineer with more than 40 years of experience with the design and construction of tunnel and underground projects, primarily in the rail transit, water supply, wastewater, and hydropower markets. Gregg joined the company in 2003 and has held several leadership positions, ranging from positions in design, construction management, and regional management. He has served as project manager and project director on some of the firm’s largest underground projects. He has expertise in various types of excavation methods, including all types of tunnel boring machines (TBMs), roadheader machines, and drill-and-blast excavation. His underground development experience also includes sequential excavation methods for portal and shaft structures, and rail transit and water supply bifurcation chambers.

Gregg holds a BSc in Civil Engineering from Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh, Scotland, and is a registered Professional Engineer in the state of Washington. He is a Chartered Engineer through the Engineering Council, United Kingdom, and is a member of the Institution of Civil Engineers, United Kingdom. He has served on the North American Tunneling Conference Organizing Committee and since 2017 has been on the Rapid Excavation and Tunneling Conference (RETC) Executive Committee. He has been a member of the British Tunnelling Society (BTS) since 1989.
