Doug Grimes

Canada Regional Manager/Project Management Practice Lead

Doug Grimes is a principal scientist with more than 35 years of design and construction experience in the transportation, water, energy, and wastewater markets. Doug joined the company in 2015 and leads the firm’s Project Management Community of Practice in addition to his role as region manager for Canada. His work has included all project phases including identification and concept studies, feasibility studies, environmental assessment and permitting, preliminary design, detailed design, design services during construction and construction management. Doug has served as Project Manager on delivery of some of Vancouver’s most significant tunnel projects. His areas of expertise include project management, geoscience, reclamation and remediation, environmental and geomorphology studies, regulatory relations, permitting and hydrogeology.

Doug holds an MSc in Geological Sciences from Queen’s University and a BSc in Earth Science from the University of Manitoba. He maintains his Project Management Professional designation and is a registered Professional Geoscientist, British Columbia.
