Transportation Market Lead (East)/ Ventilation, Fire/Life Safety Practice Lead

Dan Adams is a principal engineer with more than 38 years of experience in underground engineering and construction. He has been project director, construction manager, design manager, or principal engineer for the design and construction of mega projects in the water, wastewater, transit, and transportation sectors. These included projects delivered using design-bid-build, design-build, general contractor/​construction management (GCCM), and alliancing. He is currently Project Manager for the Newtown Creek CSO, Design Director for Sumner Tunnel Reconstruction, and Construction Manager for Golden Ears Force Main. Dan served as the firm’s president from 2010 – 2020 and received the Golden Beaver Award for Engineering in 2020. For the past several years, he has focused on developing the next generation of our company’s leadership.

Dan is a registered Professional Engineer in New York, Washington, Massachusetts, and California, and is staunch supporter of his alma mater, University of Massachusetts, Amherst, where he earned an MS in Civil Engineering (Geotechnical Concentration) and a BS in Civil Engineering.
