Carol Ravano

Geotechnical Engineering Practice Lead

Carol Ravano is a principal engineer with 32 years of geotechnical and civil engineering experience, specializing in project management and geotechnical analyses for underground and railroad projects. She has led Class 1 and regional railroad projects from inception through design to construction. Her expertise expands into state, county, city, and municipal projects as well as work with private owners. Since joining Delve Underground in 2007, Carol has designed railroad geotechnical and tunnel rehabilitation projects, many of which have been constructed under live track conditions. She has stepped into leadership roles in railroad and geotechnical work. As a skilled project manager, she ensures that procedures, materials, and structures meet contract specifications, safety requirements, and environmental regulations.

Carol holds an MS in Civil Engineering and a BS in Civil Engineering from University of California, Berkeley, and is a registered Professional Engineer in California and Washington.
