Amir Beyabanaki is highly experienced in geotechnical and geomechanical computational analyses for projects involving tunnels, large caverns, deep shafts, slopes, and landslides. His expertise includes assessing the stability of excavations for numerous tunnels and underground structures, including projects for highways, railways, subways, and water, power, and sewer systems, across a wide variety of ground conditions, from soft soils and mixed soil-rock formations to hard rock, with shallow to deep ground covers. His work spans a broad range of geotechnical engineering applications across the United States, Australia, and Europe. Using two- and three-dimensional numerical software, such as FLAC, FLAC3D, PLAXIS, PLAXIS 3D, UDEC, 3DEC, MIDAS GTS NX, and ROCSCIENCE programs, he has evaluated the stability of complex structures. With over 25 published papers (500+ citations) in leading technical and scientific journals and conferences, he is widely recognized as an expert in his field.
